1. Information We Collect

SubZero collects the following information to provide our subscription tracking service:

  • Account information: Your name, email address, and profile picture when you sign in with Google or create an account.
  • Email data: When you connect an email account, we access your inbox in read-only mode to scan for subscription-related emails (invoices, receipts, billing notifications). We do not read, store, or process personal emails unrelated to subscriptions.
  • Subscription data: Names, prices, billing cycles, and cancel URLs extracted from subscription-related emails.
  • Payment information: Stripe handles all payment processing. We store your Stripe customer ID but never your credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To detect and track your recurring subscriptions from email receipts.
  • To display spending analytics and send price change alerts.
  • To provide cancel links for detected subscriptions.
  • To process payments for the Pro plan via Stripe.
  • To improve our AI-powered email parsing accuracy.

3. Email Access

SubZero requests read-only access to your email account. We:

  • Only search for emails matching subscription-related keywords (invoice, receipt, billing, subscription, payment).
  • Never send emails on your behalf.
  • Never modify or delete your emails.
  • Never share your email content with third parties.
  • Process email content on secure servers and only store extracted subscription metadata.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore with strict security rules ensuring you can only access your own data. OAuth tokens are stored securely and refreshed automatically. All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. We use the following services to operate SubZero:

  • Google Firebase: Authentication and database.
  • Google Gemini: AI-powered email parsing (email content is processed but not stored by Google for this purpose).
  • Stripe: Payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
  • Vercel: Application hosting.

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • Disconnect your email accounts at any time from your profile.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Revoke SubZero's access to your Google account via your Google Account settings.
  • Request a copy of your data by contacting us.
